New Zealand Rugby Union’s Chief Executive Steve Tew believes there is a chance New Zealand might not play in the 2015 World Cup in England because they may not be able to afford it.
Tew hit out at the costs of playing in the tournament, revealing that the NZRU would “lose NZ$13.2m [£6.7m] from participating despite the fact they have home advantage.

New Zealand 2011 Super Rugby Squads

The New Zealand Super Rugby franchises have named their squads for the 2011 Super Rugby tournament. NZRU professional rugby manager Neil Sorenson and the five New Zealand head coaches, Pat Lam, Ian Foster, Mark Hammett, Todd Blackadder and Jamie Joseph gathered at Eden Park to announce their teams. It will be Mark Hammett and Jamie Joseph’s first Super Rugby head coach position.
