Here’s a review of some of the key individual statistics from the 2010 Tri-Nations put together by Total Rugby. The 2010 Tri-Nations was won by the New Zealand All Blacks, who won an unprecedented 6 games, giving them a 100% success rate for the tournament. The Australian Wallabies came second with 2 wins, both against the Springboks. The South African Springboks won just once, at home against the Wallabies.

The Record-Breaking All Blacks of 2010

Each week this All Blacks team is breaking so many records that many of them are not getting the sort of fanfare they deserve. In last night’s victory Ma’a Nonu became the 35th player to get 50 test caps for the All Blacks and Tony Woodcock became the most experienced test prop in All Black history. Both records were achieved with minimal fanfare. The exploits of the current team is bringing familiar criticism of the All Blacks notorious record of peak in between world cups and their inability to win the big trophy.

Rugby Test match, France vs New Zeland All Blacks - Marseille

Round 8 of the Super 14 sees many of the teams resembling a virtual casualty ward of injuries. The Chiefs have been particularly hard hit through new injuries to key players, captain Mils Muliaina and playmaker Stephen Donald. They join All Blacks Aled de Malmanche, Sitiveni Sivivatu, Tanerau Latimer, Kevin O’Neill as well as props Nathan White and James McGougan on the Chiefs’ injury list.
