The All Blacks team to play the Wallabies at Hong Kong Stadium, Hong Kong has been named. It is the same starting 15 that defeated the Wallabies 49-28 on July 31 in Melbourne. Notably, Sonny Bill Williams’ highly anticipated All Black debut will have to wait, as he was unable to break up the established All Black midfield of Ma’a Nonu and Conrad Smith, or match the versatility of Isaia Toeava on the bench.

Following on from yesterday’s article on Daniel Braid and Tanerau Latimer, 29 year old 4 test All Black Daniel Braid has now confirmed his return to New Zealand.

Braid has impressed this year as the “marquee import” for the Queensland Reds, with the current set of break-down rules giving him the chance to really show his skill set. He has now signed for his old team, the Blues and the Auckland provinical team. Chiefs beat Highlanders in exciting but error-filled game

The Chiefs beat the Highlanders tonight in a game where they dominated possession but none of the set pieces. The game took place at Bay Park Stadium in Mt Mauganui. At half time the Highlanders were ahead of the Chiefs 15-10. However, the Chiefs went on to win 27 to 21.
