The All Blacks have set both an intimidating lead in the 2011 Tri-Nations as well as underlined Eden Park’s status as a seemingly impenetrable fortress ahead of the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

The All Blacks completely dominated the first half, going into the sheds with a 17-0 score line. Soon after the break this was stretched to 20 nil with a Dan Carter drop goal, just his third in over 1200 test points scored. After a Sivivatu converted try, a Carter penalty and a converted Digby Ioane try, the score line was 30 to 7. However, Wallaby…

The Wallabies will be looking to stop a run of 10 consecutive defeats to the All Blacks. In their last…

Last night in Christchurch Ma’a Nonu became the 35th player to play 50 tests for the All Blacks. It’s an amazing achievement for a player with such a chequered history with the black jersey.

It’s taken him seven years to make 50 test caps. That’s a long time in the modern game. To put it in perspective, Brad Thorn debuted a week after Nonu and has now played 44 tests, but he didn’t play for the All Blacks at all for four years, from the end of 2003 till 2008. Ma’a Nonu, on the…
