Super Rugby Round 18 Team Announcements Last Games for Mealamu, Carter and McCaw

Super Rugby Round 18 Team Announcements Last Games for Mealamu, Carter and McCaw. Tony Woodcock won’t play again in Blues colours.

This week’s Super Rugby Round 18 Team Announcements prelude the final Super Rugby games for New Zealand stalwarts Keven Mealamu, Dan Carter and Richie McCaw. Fellow All Black centurion Tony Woodcock is also expected to retire at the end of the year, but unfortunately did not make the Blues team due to injury. Elsewhere, Reds’ James Horwill and Will Genia are also playing their last games before heading overseas.

This is the final round of Super Rugby, and there is plenty at stake. The Chiefs and Highlanders are battling for the important first wild card spot (fourth place) and the Brumbies could finish as high as second if results go their way, but are most likely eyeing the sixth spot. If the Waratahs beat the Reds they will finish in second. The Stormers can steal second if they win and the Waratahs lose.
