Scotland Squad for 2012 Six Nations

Andy Robinson names Scotland Rugby Squad for 2012 Six Nations Championship

Andy Robinson has named the Scotland Rugby Squad to contest the 2012 Six Nations Tournament. The squad consists of 36 players, made up of 17 backs and 19 forwards. Despite their unsuccessful 2011 Rugby World Cup campaign, in which they became the first ever Scotland rugby team not to reach the quarter finals, Robinson has retained faith in most of that touring squad. New to the squad are Lee Jones, Stuart Hogg, Duncan Weir, Robert Harley, Fraser McKenzie and Steven Shingler.

According to Robinson the squad reflects the good form of the Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors rugby teams in the Heineken Cup rugby competition.

Scotland will begin their campaign against current Six Nations champions England on the 4th of February. They have not won the title since 1999 and are yet to finish outside the bottom two in five years.
