Alastair Kellock may have missed the 2007 Rugby World Cup but he will captain Scotland Rugby Team to the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. For 12 Scottish rugby players it will be their first Rugby World Cup. For Chris Paterson it will be his fourth tournament, the first Scot to do so.
Notable omissions by coach Andy Robinson include Johnnie Beattie and Nikki Walker
Scotland have a real chance to proceed to the quarter finals of this tournament, but it will be much tougher than in 2007. They must get past 2007 tournament darlings Argentina in Pool B. Pool B is made up of Scotland, Argentina, Georgia, Romania and England. Scotland begins their campaign against Romania in Invercargill on 10 September.
