Richie McCaw’s Biography Out Today on Kindle

Richie McCaw’s biography, Richie McCaw The Open Side by himself and Greg McKee is out on the Kindle today. My copy has just arrived and I can’t wait to read it. A variety of excerpts have been released over the last few days, and feature McCaw’s insight into the Henry vs Deans debate, Quade Cooper, Wayne Barnes at the 2007 Rugby World Cup, and most shocking of all, how bad his foot injury was during the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

In New Zealand and on the kindle the books is called “The Open Side”. However, in the UK and other countries it is called “The Real McCaw: The Autobiography Of Richie McCaw” and is available as a hardcover and paperback. The book was released in New Zealand on the 9th of October, 2012.

By their very nature, sport biographies are notoriously self-serving and usually a little revisionist. However, from the excerpts so far, this biography looks to be more about what you would expect from a guy like McCaw: straight shooting and humble.
