France Rugby World Cup 2011 Squad

Thierry Dusautoir will captain the France rugby team at the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. Notable omissions from the French team include Sylvain Marconnet, Thomas Domingo and Sebastien Chabal. There are 13 players who took the France team to the semi finals of the 2007 tournament, and five players who played back in the 2003 tournament.

Marc Lièvremont is the current France coach.

France are in pool A along with hosts New Zealand, Tonga, Japan and Canada. They open their tournament against Japan on September 10 at North Harbour Stadium.

France’s match against the All Blacks will be one of the biggest match ups in pool play of the world cup. Other than that, France should have an easy way out of the pool and into the finals. The All Blacks will be pleased to have their bogey team, France, out of the way early in the tournament.
