Williams signs on the dotted line with the Chiefs

Sonny Bill Williams put questions over his immediate future to bed after he penned a new deal with the NZRU that will see him line up for the Chiefs next season.

Williams had previously hinted that he would switch back to Rugby League after moving to Union back in 2008 while free bets placed suggested a move abroad also looked on the cards, but now the former Crusaders man has signed a one year deal to keep him in the country, with NZRU general manager Neil Sorensen delighted with his decision to stay put.

Reds and Crusaders for Super Rugby Final

The Reds and Crusaders have squashed the respective opponents to book a place in the 2011 Super Rugby final. The Reds did not seem to have to work too hard against a Blues team that seemed to dominate the stats, but were unable to capitalise on their chances, while the Reds jumped on their own opportunities. The Crusaders suffocated the Stormers right from the kick off, and once they were gifted an intercept try to Sean Maitland they were able to penalty kick their way to victory. The travelling Crusader circus now continues onto Queensland where they will
