A month on and the 2011 Rugby World Cup is fading into memory, with rugby fans now getting their rugby fix from the Heineken Cup. For those not quite ready to totally assign the Rugby World Cup to the history books, here is a great Rugby World Cup 2011 recap video. It captures so many of the key moments of the cup and the accompanying joy and despair from the players involved. There are tears from long-time servants Dan Parks and Shane Williams and the All Blacks lifting the trophy at the end.

New Zealand All Blacks Win 2011 Rugby World Cup

The New Zealand All Blacks have won the 2011 Rugby World Cup, triumphing in a gripping but low scoring final against France 8 to 7. The match up mirrored the inaugural 1987 Rugby World Cup final, also played at Auckland’s Eden Park. Interestingly, the bronze final match up was the same as the 1987 version, but this time Australia emerged victorious. However, no one has felt the burden of playing second fiddle to a legend more than Stephen Donald. The bar set by Dan Carter is so high that mistakes that might be glossed …
