A month on and the 2011 Rugby World Cup is fading into memory, with rugby fans now getting their rugby fix from the Heineken Cup. For those not quite ready to totally assign the Rugby World Cup to the history books, here is a great Rugby World Cup 2011 recap video. It captures so many of the key moments of the cup and the accompanying joy and despair from the players involved. There are tears from long-time servants Dan Parks and Shane Williams and the All Blacks lifting the trophy at the end.
Watch for moments like the Warburton red card tackle, Drew Mitchell’s hamstring tear, Richie McCaw’s hundredth test cap, the Stephen Donald penalty kick in the final and much more. It even has the engraving of the William Webb Ellis Cup. The Crowd Goes Wild is an irreverent sports show in New Zealand, airing on weeknights at 6:30pm, hosted by Andrew Mulligan and former cricketer Mark Richardson – who can be seen at the beginning of the video.
